Environmental Risk Management

This subject covers a number of different areas and you will have to look for the one that best suits you.  Some of the related degrees available are environmental protection, sustainable environmental management and general risk management degrees.  The aim of environmental risk management is to asses how different environmental problems can cause danger to the general public and damage our environment.

 

Environmental Change

If you are interested in how the environment is changing over time and concerned by the speed at which it is doing so then a degree in this area is a good option for you.  Some of the related degrees available are Environmental Geography with International Development, Global Studies, Environmental Science and Climate Science.  Climate change is something that is causing great concern at the moment so this could be a great degree to study.

 

Environmental Technology

This degree gives you the chance to study some of the complex technologies that can help us to manage and protect our environment.  You will look at new and emerging technologies that could really make a difference to the way that we live.  Some of the related degrees that you can study include Environment and Technology, Renewable Energy, Landscape Architecture, Sustainable Engineering and Chemical Engineering with Environmental Technology.

 

Environmental Education

It is quite surprising how limited people’s knowledge is on the environment.  Many people are completely unaware of just how much they impact the environment.  If this is something that frustrates you and you want to change then a degree in environmental education could help you achieve this.  Some of the degrees available in this area of study include Environmental Education, Environmental Earth Science with Education and Outdoor Education with Environmental Education.

 

Conservation

Conservation is vital to the survival of our environment and natural world and many people are very passionate about it.  If you want to study a degree in conservation then you need to decide which area you want to specialise in.  The degree options include things like Countryside Management, Environmental Biology, Plant biology, Conservation Biology, Wildlife Management, Agriculture with Countryside Management, Conservation and Forest Ecosystems and Marine Biology and Coastal Zone Management.
